  2. OK reading the new info on the budget and Mr Cammerons Extensive welfare benifits cuts. I would now be better off in prison.
First I would be seen by a NHS Doctor who would no doubt say I was unfit for work, Second I would have good food.
third I would have reasonable housing, with TV,Pool etc etc
Fourth I would not have to pay for ANYTHING and it would cost the government between £400 and £1,000 Per WEEK as opposed to lets say £160 for all my benifits…..

  3. Kenn
We get £65 a WEEK for doing nothing,
The poor old gentlemen and ladies known as Lords only get £3oo OH! thats a day! plus £174 for an over night stay in London if they don’t own a house there (90% of them do,but still claim the allowance)that’s? let me see £300+£174=£474 OH! that’s a day £474 x 5=£2370 a week for doing sweet FA Not prison Kenn, you need to get into the House of Lords.
Problem is it’s easier to get into prison than into the Gentlemans Club known as the House of Lords

  10. New forum is on the way, Nelson will supply the details later on.

    ATOS are running scared…!!

    Comment by dwpexamination — August 18, 2011 @ 12:10 pm

  11. So do they think we will go away? They are way off the mark, obviously retaliation for outing their employee’s slagging the sick and disabled.
We will now concentrate a little time on whether Atos are meeting their contract terms ,how they can prove the complaints are less than 5% and how the quality surveys show 88% of claimants are happy with the WCA’s ,both these claims are a joke and must be challenged.

    Comment by stan — August 18, 2011 @ 1:46 pm

  16. I’ve been googling sites with the words IDENTITY FRAUD WELFARE CLAIMANTS, regarding the situation where someone carries out an Identity Theft and then claims benefit – and all I can find are draconian sites threatening all sorts of direness to people who make false claims. OK. But if someone steals you details and makes a fraudulent claim you are in deep stook. There does not appear to be any official recognition that this can happen, and not a smidgen of advice about how to avoid it. Recently I tried to find a way to register as unemployed but not receiving benefit, to protect myself from this kind of fraud and discovered there is no way to do it. The only way you can register is by making a claim.

  17. I have just been telephoned today by ATOS and been given a medical assessment appointment for 2 days time (7th April). I have never received or completed an ESA50 and they are still going ahead with this without any information on my current medical condition which has changed radically since my last medical! Can they do this – how will they do the “assesment” with no details? Surely this can’t be right. Any advice please?

    Comment by Gail — April 5, 2012 @ 5:35 pm

  18. should have said no to short a notice as they are filling in the the interviews for that day. you should have refused and asked for a letter appoinment wheres dwpexamination to explain it better she should be along and she will explain jeff

    Comment by Anonymous — April 6, 2012 @ 3:18 pm

  19. Well I did consider saying No, told them I had not completed the ESA50, they were not interested in this so… I thought I will accept the appointment, go along tomorrow and just see how they are going to do this medical without any information on me – this will be my 4th assessment, lost 3 and won on Appeals so I am ready for this one! I will use this ‘breach’ against them when the time comes to Appeal again as I’m sure it will – they are obviously filling an empty space so let the games commence and I have told my MP about this as he has currently been working on my case – will drop that into the conversation tomorrow as well!

    Comment by Gail — April 6, 2012 @ 3:36 pm

  20. Gail…I’ve never heard of anyone being asked to attend an assessment that hasn’t filled in a ESA 50 Questionnaire, I’m willing to bet the drone who phoned you doesn’t know if you received an ESA 50, and I’m also willing to bet couldn’t care less whether you did or not, they are instructed to ask if you will attend as a fill in, you could have refused and asked for the assessment date in writing.

But you have decided you are going and that’s that, so when you get there don’t be surprised if they come away with some excuse and try to send you away, the proper procedure hasn’t been followed here, and it will be interesting to see what they are going to do.

Keeping your MP informed is a smart move, but don’t tell the drones at ATOS.

Could you keep us updated Gail ?.

It’s a true saying…We learn something new every day..!!

    Comment by dwpexamination — April 6, 2012 @ 5:26 pm

  21. My thoughts exactly, I am pretty sure this is a BIG oversight. DWP have been wittering for a while about having an assessment but I have been heavily involved with a botched Appeal and missing documents so I think because I have persisted to ‘annoy’ and question them something else has gone wrong with their system. Curiously, I received some calls this week from a Jobcentre Plus person who appeared to be a mediator of some sorts (and mentioned several times she had emails from my MP who just happens to be Alastair Darling ex-Chancellor) so I think she was hauled in to try and quieten things down, anyway I ran my appt by her yesterday afternoon just after it was made and I pointed out to the person there was no ESA50 and he said it didn’t matter!? She has also never heard of this and said the only exceptions were for severely mentally disabled people so I have forewarned her as I know this will be another fiasco. I am going, turning up as instructed and they can whistle after that as it is all their fault. Also dropped Alastair an email about this last night, I only saw him four days ago as well and it was bad enough then so lets see if he can sort this out now – I have 2 major surgical operations pending and one if for Neurosurgery with my appointment to discuss the date next week but my brain is still very much alive and kicking at the moment and I really feel I have nothing to lose now…

  23. Well, I had my “medical” this morning – same as ever – was a bit sharper this time round though – gaining plenty experience with Atos! You’ll never guess what was waiting for me when I arrived home, YES, the missing ESA50! Does anybody know what the hell is going on here, I have now had the assessment so what am I supposed to do with this now? Phone call first thing on Tuesday morning then – will this never end!?

  24. You have had your ordeal dont give them a second bite of the cherry. Follow the original plan and tear them a new one after the give you 0 points.

  25. Still digging and hounding DWP – apparently, after my last ATOS medical on 7th April I have been put into the WRAG group again for 18 months as requested by the Atos ‘medical examiner’. So, what happens to me now – do they leave me alone (apart from work focus interviews) for the next 18 months? God only knows, everything is so complicated – I am/was on Income based ESA not contribution by the way…

    Comment by Gail — April 30, 2012 @ 7:59 pm

  26. Gail.

It’s up to you if your happy with the Work related activity group, if not then an appeal is available to get in to the support group.
So as I said it’s all down to you, are you capable of attending work focused interviews ? only you can decide.

What happens now is as they say the WRAG, but 18 months ?, well they can call you for an assessment anytime because to be told that you are safe from harassment for 18 months is actually quite common then the person receives the white envelope from ATOS demanding they attend an assessment and no amount of pleading that you were assured that you don’t have to get assessed for 18 months will be listened to or entertained.

  31. I’ve just got my nil points Atoss score. I’ve been trying to get onto the forum to try to reread some of the excellent advice there to help me deal with this. The forum seems to be down, won’t let me in at all, just whirly circle thingy then a message to say the server was reset. I sure wish I could be reset at the minute.
All benefits stopped, so little money I can’t even get my medication now as the percription is no longer free. Once my inhaler runs out, hospital for me, cool. What would be a cheaper option for DWP? Pay me my pitannce or pay for night in hospital? Interesting.

  32. Hello churchmouseinit.

You will get on to the forum eventually, just leave it for a couple of hours and come back.
I hope you are going to appeal and get the assessment rate ? the sooner you get a GL24 form and a sicknote compose your appeal and send it then the sooner you will get paid.
You can fill in the GL24 form as the first part of your appeal and ask for the ESA 85 assessment report, while you wait for the report at least they will have acknowledged your appeal has started, the rest of the appeal can be sent to them when you have a chance to study it in detail, by the way when you see the ESA 85 assessment report be prepared to be shocked.

    Comment by dwpexamination — May 8, 2012 @ 12:45 pm

  33. Hi dwpexamination and cheers for the good wishes. I’ve only ever had the assessment rate which they have now stopped, been on it since January. I’m waiting for them to send me a GL24. My printer has decided to pack up and won’t print or I’d have got one off the net while I still have access. I have verbally told them my intention to appeal, of course they didn’t mention my assessment level payments should continue while this happens. Sick or what? They are aware this is my only income and of course I know they will stop my housing and council tax benefit asap. They already have a sick note from my GP which runs until 21st June, so I said I can’t possible look for work before then, a legal thing I believe. The guy told me I had declared myself unfit for work? But I’ve been signed off work since last September by my GP with regular sick notes and they’ve had them since January without fail.I only started claiming when my work contract ran out and I no longer got sick pay from my employer. I got too sick to carry on in September last year. Its so hard to getting your head around all their deliberate mis-information. And yes, I am anticipating the ESA 85 with a mix of trepidation and disgust. Hopefully I’ll be able to get onto the forum later. I’ll let you know how I get on.
